Pilosocereus arrabidae



Characteristics - Pilosocereus arrabidae is not a cultivated fruit bearer but is is relatively abundant in its natural habitat, the coastal levees (restingas) from southern Bahia to Rio dc Janeiro. It is a succulent shrub with a short trunk, branched at its base, 1-3 m tall. Uses - The fruits are only consumed in their atural state and are not widely appreciated.

Propagation - Easily propagated from stem (cladode) cuttings.
