Tropical Plant "Perfume guava"

Characteristics - The perfume guava is a native fruit tree, occasionally cultivated in domestic orchards, mainly in the Amazon region, where it is also found in its native form, in primary growth, dry forest in the western area. It is an evergreen tree, 5-10 m tall, with new branches being pubescent. Leaves subcoriaceous, rugose, 4-18 cm long with nerves frequently puberulent. Flowers are solitary or in pairs, large, androgynous, and axillary. They form from September to November. The peduncle is initially dense-pubescent. The fruits are subglobose berries, flattened, that ripen from February to April. They have a very succulent pulp with an acidic flavor and few seeds.
Uses - The fruits are consumed mainly in their natural state and are greatly appreciated.
Propagation - Propagated by seeds.
