Tropical Plant "Fragrant granadilla"

Charateristics - The fragrant granadilla is a fruit bearer widely cultivated, throughout the country, also frequent in nature in its natural habitat, the littoral levees and the Atlantic Forest from Bahia to Rio Grande do Sul. It is an herbaceous semi-perennial, robust, a climber (with well developed tendrils) completely glabrous (except for the flower buds), the caulis has alate angles and linear-lanceolate stipules , 1.0-1.5 cm in length. Leaves subcoriaceous, 7-15 cm long with a 2.0-4.5 cm petiole with 2-4 opposite glands. Flowers solitary, axillary, perfumed, 10-12 cm in diameter, form from August to March. Fruits have a juicy pulp with a pleasant, sweet flavor; they mature from December to May.
Uses - The fruits are consumed in their natural state and are widely appreciated.
Propagation - Propagated by seeds.
